Many of such children who have asthma develop their first symptoms before 5 years of age. However, asthma in young children (infants to children 5 years old) can be hard to diagnose.gartenmöbel design

Wheezing & Asthma
Every wheezing child does not have asthma .Many young children who wheeze when they get colds or respiratory infections don’t go on to have asthma. A child may wheeze because he or she has small airways that become narrow during colds or respiratory infections. The airways grow as the child grows, so wheezing no longer occurs as the child gets older. The most certain way to diagnose asthma is with a lung function test, a medical history, and a physical exam. However, it’s hard to do lung function tests in children younger than 5 years. Thus, doctors have to rely on child’s medical history, signs and symptoms, and physical examination to make a diagnosis.
Dr Arhat says “It is unfortunate that some doctors use a trial of asthma medicines to see how well a child responds . Often such a prescription is given out of parental pressure on doctors . I firmly acknowledge that all asthmatic children can be cured , it just depends on how cooperative the parents are. The goal of asthma treatment is to control the disease and prevent asthma attacks by increasing patients immunity. During the course of strengthening the child
immune system , the child still keeps getting exposed to changing environment and allergic substances . Here improvement should be evaluated on the basis of decresing FREQUENCY and INTENSITY of attacks, which gradually decreses to nil, hence absence of attacks. Healing Temple has hundreds of cured cases of bronchial asthma where patients have got rid of this disease for a lifetime. Each time a less intense episode of asthma occurs during the course of treatment , it needs to be managed with immune strengthening homoeopathic medicine , here is where we need family s support and patience. It is sad that some parents
resort to dangerous and temporary short cuts like steroids or inhalers just for their own convenience and comfort. Parents should take an active role to control and prevent childs asthma by-
- Using home remedies as much as possible for light cough and cold
- Immediately visiting your doctor in case of increased cough / wheeze/fever/ shortness of breath
- Reduce use of quick-relief temporary medicines
- Help to maintain good lung function by encouraging yoga , deep breathing and exercises
- Parents should get personalised guidanance on diet and treatment for other conditions that can interfere with asthma management.
- Learn and act to avoid asthma triggers. Seek guidance of your doctor about medicines that can help your child stay active.
- Make and follow an asthma action plan with frequent repetition of homoeopathic medicines to get instant control of asthma attacks
Asthma treatment for children is adjusted to meet their special needs.
